How It Works
Door-to-door
Pickup Guidelines
These guidelines have been put in place to ensure that operations run smooth and that our Valet's maintain the safest work environment possible.
Trash should be bagged, tied, and must be placed in a trash can.
(Note: there is an 8 bag limit to the amount of bags you can place out at one time).
Boxes should be broken down for collection.
(Note: We will not collect large piles of boxes that are not broken down due to limited space in our trailers).
No Loose Trash, or oversized items.
(Note: This means appliances, furniture, car parts, boxes of loose paper, etc...)
No Sharp Objects
(Note: This means items such as glass, jagged metal, metal rods, etc...)
Please double bag all diapers and pet waste.
(Note: Diapers and Dog Poop can carry harmful bacteria and germs that spread to a person. Please be sure to double bag.)
Common FAQ's
Yes, we have an assigned dumpster patrol that travels around on Saturday's around midday / evening hours to tidy up and sanitize dumpster areas, collect pet station bags, and common area bags. This service helps your community maintain a clean appearance and keeps the critters to a minimium!
No, we have a no trash left behind policy. Our objective is to keep our communities clean. Leaving trash behind is a big no no at Righteousway Valet!
However, we will not collect trash if we are not able to safely transport it back to our vehicles, it causes a health risk to our valets, or it is not placed in the proper collection area.
We expect for you to follow all guidelines when comes to placing your container out for collection.
The amount of bags you can put out at ONE TIME is 8 BAGS. We ask that you do not place bags on the ground to prevent creating stains on breezeway floors, tie all bags to prevent trash from escaping from your bag. DO NOT PLACE LOOSE TRASH OUT IN BOXES (This will be left behind until the resident breaks down boxes and all trash is placed in a bag)
Yes, we collect trash for community areas such as pool areas, community parks, etc. Pet and Common Area cans are checked or collected twice a week.
Some of the reasons your trash wasnt collected could be:
1. Your trash is un-tied and flowing out of the top of your bag.
2. You placed out a box full of loose trash.
3. Your bag is too damaged to transport to our vehicles
4. You placed out trash containing diapers, feces(Animals and Human), or open feces that wasnt double bagged or secured
5. You placed out large boxes that weren't broken down.
6. You placed your trash in an area that we cant reach or are not authorized to access.
7. Your trash is being guarded by a domestic or wild animal EXAMPLE: opossums, racoons, or loose dogs
8. You placed out more than 8 bags We will collect 8 bags at a time and return on the next night for the rest if needed.
9. You placed out bulk items. WE DO NOT PICK UP BULK ITEMS.
10. You placed out an item that is a hazard to our valets.
While we strive to pick up all trash on each route, we ask that each resident secures their trash to ensure the cleanliness of your community and safety of our valets.

While we thrive to service all of our communities in a consistant and timely manner, there are some circumstances where we will temporarily suspend service. Those circumstances are:
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
TROPICAL STORMS
HURRICANES
TORNADOES
EMERGENCY SITUTATIONS INVOLVING LOCAL AUTHORITIES
THE COMPACTOR OR DUMPSTER IN YOUR COMMUNITY IS BROKEN OR OVERFILLED
Containers should be placed outdoors between 5:00pm - 7:00pm, Sunday - Thursday and brought back inside by 9:00am the next morning. Service will begin at 7:00PM.
We do not provide service on the following holidays:

We generally serve the areas of Charleston, Ladson, North Charleston, Hanahan, Goose Creek, Summerville, Moncks Corner, and Ridgeville. However, we will service other areas upon request.
